Thoughts come one by one in a sequence in the mind of people...after one thought, another one is already ready to pop in. You can't find even a small gap between two thoughts in a chattering mind. This is why nowadays almost everyone is tensed.
Thoughts are the greatest hindrance of all. The mind is busy either in the past or in the future. When one lives in the present moment, thought is absent. Thoughts are linked with emotions, anger, greed, jealousy, lust, hatred, revenge, and many others.
Everyone says that we need peace of mind and what is peace of mind?
Peace of mind can be described as a silent mind. Only a silent mind is peaceful. One with a silent mind has no thoughts, only bliss is present. He is far away from sufferings. He is not connected at all with the ego and thoughts. In that silent mind only the most important thought appears otherwise the mind is completely empty with thoughts.... it is filled with bliss. The one whose mind is silent is the greatest enjoyer. He is spontaneous in his actions. Reactions are forever absent. Reactions are there till thoughts and ego are present. That thought that appears in the silent mind, we can't say that it is a thought as it is far beyond that. A silent mind is beyond the mind of thoughts.
He lives in the present moment only. Every moment is a celebration for him. for every moment is fresh, new, for him. He is not attached to the past or future. No accumulation of thoughts is there in the mind. He remains blissful always. He is full of compassion. Light radiates from his physical body. He sees everything in this material world as an illusion. He lives in the inner world....and yet he is here in this material world in the physical body just because of compassion for others.
Everyone can reach this state by meditation.
Here, i have tried to describe how one lives in a silent mind but it is beyond words....very difficult to describe in words...one can only feel it....one can only know it by himself....i have tried to show you the difference...i can only show u the way...but you have to experience It......to know It.................
